NBS Domestic Specification

7.13 NBS Domestic Specification doesn't include an item that I need for my project; how do I include it?

Return to frequently asked questions

All NBS Domestic Specification clauses contain an 'empty' final item that can be employed to add user content to a clause. Insert an appropriate keyword followed by a colon, a space, then the additional material, e.g. Accessories: Serrated black rubber grips to handles.

It is not possible for the user to create a new clause in NBS Domestic Specification. It is possible, however, to adapt an otherwise unused clause. Select a redundant clause within the appropriate clause group, i.e. select a clause from the 'Products' group to specify a new product. Clause titles can be amended; however, clause keywords (the titles of items within the clause) can't, so select a 'spare' clause that has relevant keywords. Delete any items with non-relevant keywords, then complete the clause by using the 'empty' item to add material as necessary. Finally, amend the clause title to suit.
